Kent came across a crazy Reddit post recently, a harrowing tale of a sailboat, dismasted and adrift at sea for 6 days. The redditor was the rescuer, and the story happened during his Pacific crossing from the Marquesas Islands to Panama.
Without giving it all away, I’ll just say that it was wild to come across this story on Reddit, written in near-live time. We have been listening to Sailing Alone Around the World on Audible – a story written in the late 1800s – and to learn of this modern-day rescue was a real shocker!
But it gets better! The guy has a YouTube channel and he was able to record on video this amazing story! Putting together a cohesive story on YouTube takes time and talent and we waited at the edge of our seats as he posted it in 3 parts.
